Update: Expanding our Capacity to Deliver the Highest Quality Ingredients

March 28th 2017 Comments

For more than 35 years, Silva has been delivering the highest quality dehydrated vegetables, herbs, and fruits … but we’re not content to rest on our past success. We’re always looking for new and better ways to serve our customers so they can have confidence in both the ingredients we provide and the process we follow from field to finished product.

That’s why we’ve been hard at work to expand our facilities to include three additional two-story production lines. We’re now in the final stages of construction and layout of these three new lines will all be operational by the end of June 2017. One of the lines is already in operation and going through assessments.

This will bring our total to 18 production lines at our U.S. production facility. Here are just a few highlights of what these new lines will deliver.

  • A larger powder mill and automated in-line production equipment to provide high-capacity production of our powders and increase efficiencies throughout the process. And, as you know, increased efficiency is synonymous with keeping costs under control, allowing us to continue to give you the highest quality ingredients competitively priced.
  • An additional line for the quality control process of inspections and food safety measures of our raw materials. This operation will help us to ensure that, even as we grow, the quality of our ingredients will continue to meet the highest standards.
  • More capacity of all of our dehydrated ingredients in various cut sizes and granulations will mean that we can continue to hit deadlines for all of our customers.

These benefits simply increase the confidence you can have in Silva as a trusted and experienced partner in your supply chain. We take control of our ingredients at every step in the process, which is why you can have confidence in every Silva product.

We’re excited to see how these additional production lines provide value to customers just like you in the years to come.
