Steam Sterilization

Silva now has the capability to offer Steam Sterilization treatment to our full line of ingredients. This unique sterilization line is state-of-the-art and installed within our Illinois production facility. The process entails using a continuous dry steam application for microbiological reduction. This enables us to offer a different and clean option for meeting low and customized micro specifications.

Many process controls are in place within this line to precisely handle the different products and cut sizes we have available. Through this technology we are able to effectively calculate the precise steam treatment for reduction in micro load, while maintaining Silva product quality.

Roasted and Toasted Ingredients

We have built into this line the capabilities to also lightly toast or roast all our ingredients. This additional process enables us to offer a unique look and flavor option to all of our existing products.
