Our supply chain team manages long-standing business partnerships to arrange raw material from over 25 different countries. Flexibility in our supply chain remains one of our key business components, building options through alternate crop cycles, raw material cost planning, adjusting for political situations, and maneuvering around difficult harvest conditions. All of this work is done to ensure we meet your needs on quality control, availability, and cost control.
Cleaning & Sorting
Agricultural raw material naturally needs further refinement to ensure we can bring confidence to our customers in both quality and food safety. Silva’s raw material goes through a variety of quality control review steps and laboratory tests upon receipt to our U.S. facility. Our raw material also goes through a non-chemical pest treatment process using a controlled environment of heat and then oxygen removal. From there, we move into a number of different equipment processing capabilities to ensure our finished products are produced from a clean and food safe starting point.
Cut to Size
At Silva, we have full capabilities to produce finished ingredients not only to the standard market size, but also to any customized specification you may need. From larger cross cut pieces, flakes, various granulation, and various powder sizes, we ensure our over 20 industrial production lines have been designed to be capable of meeting all your sizing needs.
We can assist by blending all of our ingredients into one pre-mix product blend, adjusting to any blend ratio and item quantity you need. We can also blend with other ingredients within the market for your recipe, including adding oil coating when desired. Our different styles of blenders ensure we can properly blend premixes from delicate flakes to dense fine powders. We can accommodate various packaging options for you as well, in order to bring your plant a blended mixture ready for your finishing touches.
As the market continues to move toward all-natural treatment, we have already built up over 10 years of experience treating our products through natural heat treatment steps. The capabilities at our U.S. facility include not only steam sterilization, but also infrared all-natural treatment. The right equipment is a part of this process, but the knowledge of how to process so many different types of ingredients properly is key. Both treatment options have also been validated through third-party certified laboratories as well.
