Butternut squash

New Product: Butternut Squash

Butternut squash, also known in some countries as the butternut pumpkin, is the most popular of the winter squash, and was originally developed in Massachusetts in the 1940s. In many ways, it is similar to the pumpkin, and can be roasted, pureed, or mashed. In fact, some believe that to make the tastiest pumpkin pie, you should use butternut squash rather than pumpkin since it is slightly sweeter. Basically, anything a pumpkin or sweet potato can do, a butternut squash can do.

Our butternut squash products provide all of the flavor, color, and nutritional value found in whole butternut squash. Using it can add whole servings of real vegetables to food products like dried soup or pasta blends, and its neutral color makes it a versatile, grounding base that can easily be combined with a wide range of seasonings. This powder can also be infused into beverage mixes, baked into breads and muffins, or serve as an earth-toned colorant for icings.

We offer butternut squash in flakes, granules, and powder according to specific cut sizes and your application requirements. If you are interested in receiving a sample of our new butternut squash product, contact us.
